KEESHOND

|
In 1993 Argentina hosted the most important Federation Cynologique Internationale supported dog show - The FCI World Show - One of the most attractive as well as unusual breed in the Best in Show ring was a gorgeous Keeshond in full bloom, with an outstanding attitude. That dog was BIS,BISS, Am.Ch., World Ch., Arg.Ch.,Br.Ch. FANTASIA FLYING COLORS, HOF, bred by Terri Kirk, FANTASIA KEESHONDEN, and owned by José Mauricio Machline and breeder Joanne Reed from WINDRIFT KEESHONDEN. "HAPPY" had just arrived from the USA after a stunning career and was ranked 1992 #1Keeshond in the States.
We got very interested in this breed that was completely new in South America. We needed as much information about Keeshonden as possible before getting in the breed. So we subscribed a Kees magazine, got books, and several videos. It took us some time to make up our mind and at last the Keesies' happy, outgoing temperament, their intelligent and alert expression, their short compact body and outstanding coat with its rich shades of black, grey and cream just did it. The Keeshond became our new breed in Halloween.
BISS,
AM.CH. O'DELYN BET YOUR BOOTS "Didi" is our very special girl and foundation bitch. She went Reserve Winners Bitch in 1994 at the Keeshond Club of America Specialty show under judge Edd Bivin. She got to our country a few months later. Bred by Terri Kirk, FANTASIA KEESHONDEN. Thanks Terri, for entrusting us this great bitch. She is the foundation of our breeding program as well as of our success.
AM.CH.
YAN-KEE NEIMAN MARCUS "Leo" arrived to Uruguay by the end of 1994. He was placed 3rd at the Bred By Exhibitor class at the Keeshond Club of America Specialty show the same year, handled by his breeder/owner Jan Wanamaker, CANDRAY KENNELS. He was the first Keeshond ever entered in a show in Uruguay. He got several Group 1st's and numerous placements at the Best in Show ring. He was ranked 1995 #2 Over-All dog. He certainly gave us lots of joy and fun at the shows. But unluckily he left us too soon. It was a massive heart failure. No suffering for him, but a huge emptiness for us. He was just 5. He will always be remembered as the ambassador of the Kees in Uruguay. Thank you, dear Friend, for all that you gave us.
"Trinket" got here in 1995, bred to BISS, Ch. Candray Gregarious Gryphon. She is a nice little bitch, an excellent mother and a great producer. She's the young dam of several champions and show winning puppies in Uruguay as well as abroad.
